2019 Grant Testamonial
"All of us here at Arsenal Colorado wanted to say thank you one more time and let you know how truly grateful we are to have received the CWSFA Grant. The money from this grant will directly and immediately impact many children in our community by providing them the funds needed for them to be a part of a team despite their family’s financial hardships. $500 provides 10 recreational scholarships to our players in need. Every cent makes a difference to these children and we cannot thank you enough! "
The Colorado Women’s Sports Fund Association (CWSFA) provides grants to non-profit organizations in Northern Colorado that promote the participation of females in sporting activities. Over the past 10 years, the CWSFA has awarded grants totaling over $43,000 to local organizations.
CWSFA works with 501c3 organizations who provide sports programming to females, such as (but not limited to) clubs, associations and recreation departments, who encourage females of all ages to participate in sports. These programs could include purchase of equipment or payment of fees to participate in clinics, leagues, or other programs as identified by these agencies. The CWSFA will annually designate a certain portion of its revenues to fund these opportunities.
The Colorado Women's Sports Fund Association maintains the ability to designate a portion of revenues to fund programs in which lack of funding (i.e., for equipment, facilities, team fees, etc.) is a barrier to participation by girls and women.
At our Annual Awards Banquet in January, the Colorado Women’s Sports Fund Association awarded $5,500 in grant money to programs in Northern Colorado that share our vision of creating opportunities for girls and women to participate in sports.
The Grant application cycle for 2020 grants will be open from December 1, 2019-December 31, 2019
The CWSFA Grant Application is available to all 501c3 organizations in Colorado that benefit girls and women in sports.
We understand the grant process is time consuming and we encourage you to contact us with any questions about our organization and grant program during the grant proposal process (email Patty Harsch at: firstname.lastname@example.org).
We offer grant awards of a minimum of $250 and a maximum of $1000. Grant applications are accepted from December 1-31 and notification of awards will happen after January 15th.
Please note that if selected to receive a grant, a representative from your organization must attend the CWSFA Annual Awards Banquet on January 26, 2020 (in the evening) at Timberline Church in Fort Collins.
